Water shortages and repair efforts highlight challenges in Aguascalientes and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico

Senator Anayeli Muñoz Moreno of Movimiento Ciudadano accused the PAN in Aguascalientes of repressing demonstrations over a severe water shortage, stating that the party is mirroring the federal MORENA's tactics against free expression. She emphasized that lack of access to potable water is the primary grievance of residents.

In Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, the municipal water authority COMAPA reported that during May it performed 871 drainage clean‑outs and repaired 295 potable‑water leaks. The agency highlighted its “Tu Reporte Sí Nos Importa” program, urging citizens to report problems via the 072 hotline and social media to improve service delivery.
