Water supply disruptions reported in Atibaia and Sergipe
Water supply services are facing disruptions in two different Brazilian regions due to maintenance and infrastructure improvements.
In Atibaia, Saae Atibaia announced an operational intervention in the Alvinópolis system on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The maintenance requires reduced pressure and flow, which may cause temporary shortages in dozens of neighborhoods, including Alvinópolis, Jardim Paulista, and Vila Giglio. Service is expected to be restored gradually starting Wednesday morning, with full normalization anticipated throughout the day.
In Sergipe, Iguá Sergipe has completed modernization works on the Adutora do Semiárido. Following the conclusion of these services on November 1, water supply began returning gradually to several municipalities, including Nossa Senhora da Glória, Carira, and São Miguel do Aleixo. While supply is normalizing, some remote or elevated areas may take up to 72 hours to fully restore service. The concessionaire is providing water trucks to support residents during this transition.
