Water supply disruptions reported in Itabira, Maceió, and Rio Largo

Water supply services face potential interruptions in different Brazilian regions due to technical issues and scheduled maintenance.

In Itabira, the Chapada Water Treatment Plant was temporarily halted on Thursday following a power failure. The Autonomous Water and Sewage Service (SAAE) has requested maintenance from Cemig. The outage may affect the Chapada and Boa Esperança neighborhoods, with water supply expected to return gradually once repairs are completed.

In Alagoas, the concessionaire BRK announced scheduled maintenance that will affect Maceió and Rio Largo. In Rio Largo, work at the Jarbas Oiticica and Antônio Lins units is set for Monday from 7:00 to 19:00. In Maceió, the Pratagy intake will be paused on Tuesday during the same hours. These interventions may affect numerous neighborhoods, including Jatiúca, Ponta Verde, and Benedito Bentes, with normalization expected within 72 hours after the works conclude.
