Water supply disruptions reported in Varna and Plovdiv
Multiple regions in Bulgaria are experiencing water supply disruptions due to infrastructure failures. In Varna, a water outage has affected an area bounded by Todor Vlaykov Street, Hristo Botev Boulevard, Devnya Street, and Vasil Levski Boulevard. Utility providers indicated that service was expected to be restored by midday.
In Plovdiv, residents of the Trakiya district are facing repeated water shortages. This marks the third interruption in the vicinity of Block 142 within a ten-day period. ViK Plovdiv reported that crews were working to repair a pipeline near Block 141, with an estimated restoration time between 09:00 and 17:00. Local residents have expressed frustration over the frequency of these outages and inconsistent repair timelines, launching an online petition to demand a permanent solution and the replacement of the aging water network.
