Utility disruptions reported across Balkan regions

Various regions across the Balkans are experiencing utility disruptions due to environmental factors and scheduled maintenance.

In Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the public utility company Vodovod i kanalizacija (ViK) has faced fluctuating water supply conditions. While night-time water restrictions were briefly lifted due to improved hydrological conditions, they were reinstated following a sudden drop in source yields. Settlements relying on the Mošćanica spring continue to face emergency supply regimes.

In Montenegro, Nikšić has reintroduced water restrictions in suburban settlements due to significantly reduced source yields caused by drought. Additionally, CEDIS has announced planned electricity outages across several municipalities, including Podgorica and Gusinje, to facilitate network maintenance.

In Serbia, planned electricity outages are scheduled for several areas in Zaječar to improve supply quality and prepare the grid for the upcoming season. Furthermore, extensive power interruptions are planned for various districts in Belgrade, including Vračar, Zvezdara, and Palilula, as well as surrounding municipalities like Obrenovac and Zemun.
