Water supply interruptions scheduled for Minas Gerais and Distrito Federal
Water supply services will face interruptions in several Brazilian regions due to scheduled maintenance and infrastructure works.
In Minas Gerais, Copasa announced that 810 neighborhoods across Belo Horizonte and 14 other municipalities in the metropolitan area will experience water outages. These disruptions are linked to three separate projects involving the Rio Manso supply system. Works in Pedro Leopoldo involve upgrading pumping networks and electrical systems, while other works in Brumadinho and Contagem involve energy company maneuvers and drainage canal widening. Full normalization of the supply is expected by September 1.
In the Distrito Federal, Caesb will perform maintenance to improve the water supply system in Santa Maria on September 1. The service is expected to affect the Total Ville sector from 7:30 to 20:00. Residents with water tanks capable of meeting their daily consumption needs should not be affected, and supply will return gradually once works are completed.
