Water supply restored in Roselle and Ligurian towns after pipe repairs

In Roselle, Tuscany, a newly repaired water main ruptured again shortly after a twelve‑metre section was installed, leaving several neighbourhoods without water. The utility Acquedotto del Fiora deployed three water tankers and expects the flow to return in the late morning of June 21, while local officials consider a possible class‑action over the repeated failures.

In the Ligurian coastal towns of Alassio and Laigueglia, engineers fixed a leak inside the Santa Croce storage tank without halting water service. A specialized diver performed the patch, and about six metres of pipe were replaced between 08:30 and 13:30, ensuring uninterrupted supply ahead of the summer tourist season.
