Water supply updates in Cuiabá and Belo Horizonte

In Cuiabá, the municipal government, through the Secretariat of Social Assistance, is implementing the 'Projeto Abastecer' to distribute 200 water tanks of 500 liters each to vulnerable families. The initiative, a partnership with the water utility Águas Cuiabá, aims to improve water storage and hygiene conditions. Deliveries are scheduled throughout September across the neighborhoods of Pedra 90, Nova Esperança, CPA 4, and Jardim União.

In Belo Horizonte, the sanitation company Copasa has warned of potential water shortages or instability in the Barreiro region due to emergency maintenance. The affected areas include Alta Tensão and Das Indústrias I and Vila Copasa. Copasa noted that properties equipped with water tanks may experience fewer impacts during the maintenance period, which is expected to last from early morning until late evening.
