Waterloo Region District School Board opens PRO Grant applications

The Waterloo Region District School Board is inviting parents, families, and caregivers to submit project ideas for the 2026-27 Parents Reaching Out (PRO) Grant. Provided by the Ministry of Education, the grant is designed to help school boards address local needs and remove barriers to family participation in education.

Eligible projects must aim to improve school environments by creating safe and welcoming spaces, supporting families as partners in educational decision-making, enhancing communication between staff and families, or providing resources regarding the Ontario Curriculum.

Project expenses must be incurred between September 8, 2026, and June 1, 2027. Interested parties must contact their school council or principal by Friday, November 20, 2026, to submit ideas for review by the PRO Grant Evaluation Committee.
