Revvity raises profit, revenue outlook on strong diagnostics demand

Medical‑equipment maker Revvity announced on Aug 4 that it is raising its annual profit and revenue outlook after a strong second‑quarter performance. The company posted adjusted profit of $1.41 per share and revenue of $730 million, both above Wall Street estimates. It now expects full‑year sales of $2.83‑$2.86 billion, up from the prior $2.81‑$2.84 billion, and forecasts 2026 adjusted earnings of $5.30‑$5.40 per share, higher than the earlier $5.20‑$5.30 range.

Revvity’s diagnostics segment grew 11% year‑over‑year to $371 million, while the life‑sciences unit saw revenue fall 3% to $359 million, driven by an estimated 20% decline in its Signals software business. Chief financial officer Max Krakowiak said pharma and biotech customers are returning to more normal patterns and AI‑related work is creating new demand. Despite the upbeat guidance, Revv its shares slipped about 5% in early trading.
