Wawasan negotiates seat count for Melaka state election

Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) is currently negotiating the number of seats it will contest in the upcoming Melaka state election. Secretary-General Saifuddin Abdullah stated that discussions regarding seat allocations are ongoing and have been “very positive.” The party intends to defend existing state assembly seats in Bemban and Sungai Udang.

To prepare for elections, Wawasan has appointed 160 pro tem divisional chiefs across the country. Each chief is tasked with recruiting a minimum of 1,000 members and establishing local branches based on the number of polling district centers (PDM) in their area. The party is actively seeking to recruit members from diverse professional backgrounds, including former police and military personnel, diplomats, academics, and business leaders.
