Wearable technology leads ACSM 2027 fitness trends report

The fitness and wellness industry is seeing a significant shift toward digital integration and experiential learning. According to the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) 2027 Worldwide Fitness Trends report, wearable technology has secured the top spot for the tenth time. Mobile exercise apps have also seen a rise, climbing to the second position, while group fitness classes jumped from thirteenth to seventh place.

The ACSM report emphasizes that while technology continues to shape fitness approaches, there is a growing value placed on shared experiences and programs tailored to different life stages, including healthy aging and mental well-being.

Complementing these industry shifts, the Eudēmonia Summit serves as a platform for observing consumer behavior and emerging health technologies. The summit, which brings together physicians, researchers, and fitness leaders, allows participants to experience new equipment and protocols firsthand. Following steady growth, the event is expected to return to West Palm Beach in November 2026 with more than 8,000 attendees.
