Meteorological authorities across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco have issued weather forecasts for mid-August 2026, highlighting extreme heat and localized storms.

In Egypt, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority predicts hot and humid conditions. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 36°C in Cairo and up to 43°C in Aswan. Warnings have been issued for morning fog on major roads and potential waves reaching 2.25 meters on several northern coasts. There is a slight chance of light rain in the northern coastal and Delta regions.

In Saudi Arabia, the National Center of Meteorology warns of continued high to extreme heat in the Eastern Province, Riyadh, and Al-Qassim. Thunderstorms accompanied by hail are expected in the highlands of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah. Additionally, dust-inducing winds may reduce visibility in parts of Tabuk and Najran.

In Morocco, temperature forecasts indicate varying conditions across cities, with high temperatures reaching 41°C in Dakhla and Errachidia, while coastal areas like Tangier and Rabat remain cooler.
