Weather agencies across Egypt, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia have issued forecasts for August 20, 2026, highlighting varying conditions including heatwaves, thunderstorms, and maritime disturbances.

In Egypt, a slight decrease in temperatures is expected alongside high humidity levels in the north, Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt. Authorities warned of morning fog on major roads and potential maritime instability in the Red Sea and Gulf of Suez, where waves may reach 3.5 meters. There is a low probability of light rain in areas such as Matrouh and Siwa.

Morocco is experiencing hot weather in the southeast and southern desert provinces. The forecast includes unstable, thundery clouds in the eastern regions and the eastern Mediterranean coast, as well as potential fog and light rain along the Atlantic coasts. Stronger wind gusts may cause dust in southern provinces.

In Saudi Arabia, the National Center of Meteorology warned of thundery rain and active winds in Jazan, Asir, and Al Baha. High temperatures are expected in Riyadh and the Eastern Province, while dust-carrying winds may affect Najran, Hail, and Madinah.
