Weather disturbances forecast for Latvia and Cyprus

Latvia is expected to experience a shift in weather patterns as a large precipitation zone approaches from the west. According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, rain will begin affecting western and central regions on Wednesday evening, spreading across much of the country by Thursday. The weather system is expected to bring gusty winds, with coastal gusts reaching up to 15 m/s, and potential thunderstorms in eastern regions. Daytime temperatures in Latvia are forecast to remain between +15°C and +20°C, though overnight lows will vary.

In Cyprus, a weather disturbance is forecast to arrive on Thursday and Friday. While Wednesday may see isolated rain and thunderstorms over the mountains with inland temperatures reaching 36°C, conditions are expected to change later in the week. From Thursday, Cyprus will see increased cloud cover, isolated rain, and potential thunderstorms, with the possibility of hail. Temperatures are expected to drop noticeably below the seasonal average by Friday.
