Spain weather: Rising temperatures and stable skies across the peninsula

Spain is experiencing a period of widespread atmospheric stability and rising temperatures. A subtropical ridge is influencing the peninsula, leading to clear skies and increased heat across much of the country.

In the north, particularly in Galicia, temperatures are expected to rise significantly, with some areas potentially reaching 36°C. While this heat is notable, meteorologists indicate it does not currently meet the threshold for a formal heatwave. In the Canary Islands, the weather will be marked by calima and rising temperatures, with some interior areas expected to reach 30°C.

Other regions, including Madrid, Valencia, and Barcelona, are seeing stable, warm conditions with minimal precipitation. In the south and along the Atlantic coast, temperatures are expected to exceed 35°C. While daytime temperatures are climbing, nighttime temperatures are beginning to show autumnal trends in the interior, creating significant thermal oscillation.
