Weather patterns in various Spanish regions

Weather conditions in the Spanish regions of Mazaricos, Gandia, and Muro shifted from unsettled to clear skies between September 10 and September 12, 2026.

On September 10, Mazaricos was expected to have stable weather with high clouds and temperatures between 13 and 23 degrees. Conversely, Gandia faced a mostly overcast day with an 85% chance of storms and wind gusts up to 41 km/h.

By September 12, conditions improved significantly. Muro and Gandia were both forecast to experience sunny skies and clear conditions. Temperatures in Muro were projected between 18 and 27 degrees, while Gandia saw similar highs of 27 degrees with a 0% probability of rain.

As of September 12, a subtropical ridge is driving temperatures upward across much of the country, creating a period of high temperatures and atmospheric stability. Maximums are expected to exceed 35°C in several regions, including the Ebro Valley, parts of Catalonia and Girona, and the southern Atlantic coast. In Galicia, a significant thermal rise is anticipated, with some areas potentially reaching 36°C.

In the Canary Islands, the weather is marked by rising temperatures and the presence of calima (dust haze), particularly in the interior of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, where temperatures may reach 30°C. While these warm spells are notable, meteorologists indicate they do not currently meet the threshold for a formal heatwave.

In addition to the heat in the south and along the Atlantic coast, stable and warm conditions are being observed in Madrid, Valencia, and Barcelona. While daytime temperatures continue to climb, nighttime temperatures in the interior are beginning to show autumnal trends, resulting in significant thermal oscillation.
