Weather instability causes flooding in Guayaquil and temperature shifts in Argentina

Various regions in Argentina and Ecuador are experiencing significant weather shifts. In Argentina, much of the country is facing a week of meteorological contrasts. In Buenos Aires and the surrounding areas, cloudy skies and potential short-duration storms are expected, with specialists monitoring a possible low-pressure system by Friday. In northern provinces like Tucumán and Salta, temperatures are expected to rise significantly mid-week, following periods of humidity and light rain.

In General Güemes, a notable thermal ascent is predicted, with temperatures potentially reaching 30°C by Thursday. Meanwhile, in San Miguel de Tucumán, municipal authorities are launching environmental operations to prevent dengue and chikungunya by eliminating mosquito breeding sites in various neighborhoods.

In Ecuador, heavy rainfall in Guayaquil starting Sunday night caused widespread flooding in approximately 60 locations. The downpour led to significant traffic disruptions, including long delays for public transportation users and difficulty for pedestrians and vehicles navigating inundated streets in sectors such as Urdesa.
