Red Hot Chili Peppers deny headline role at Rosario festival

A major controversy has erupted following the announcement of the ‘Music Gol Festival’, which claimed the Red Hot Chili Peppers would headline a concert at the Rosario Central stadium in June 2027. The announcement, promoted by the production company Underdog Argentina, was quickly debunked after the band officially responded on social media, stating, ‘Sorry, it is not us’.

Other acts included in the lineup, such as Happy Mondays, also denied their participation. In response to the misinformation, Rosario Central has threatened to cancel the event to prevent potential scams, noting that while a 50% advance for the venue had been paid, the club requires official contracts to proceed. Additionally, Banco Macro, a financial sponsor for the event, has formally distanced itself from the organization and removed all related promotional content.
