Weather shifts in India bring rain to Delhi and Madhya Pradesh

Heavy rain and thunderstorms have impacted various regions in India, including Delhi and parts of Madhya Pradesh. In Delhi, Monday morning saw significant rainfall and wind, leading to waterlogging in areas such as near the Jhandewalan Temple in Karol Bagh. While the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted moderate to heavy rain for several Delhi-NCR areas in the short term, the forecast for the following six days suggests no further rain, with only light cloud cover expected and temperatures ranging between 31 and 35 degrees Celsius.

In Madhya Pradesh, a cyclonic circulation has triggered thunderstorms and light rain in northern and eastern districts. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, and Datia, warning of potential lightning and storms. While daytime heat and humidity persist, nighttime temperatures have begun to drop, with some areas like Indore recording minimum temperatures around 16 degrees Celsius. The weather pattern of alternating heat, rain, and cooling is expected to continue through October.
