Weather warnings issued for dust storms in Khuzestan and widespread rainfall
Meteorological authorities have issued yellow level warnings for various weather phenomena across several regions. In Khuzestan, warnings have been issued for moderate to strong winds, sudden gusts, and the potential for local and temporary dust storms. These conditions are expected to affect the northwestern, western, southwestern, and central parts of the province, with two waves of activity occurring on Sunday and Tuesday.
Potential impacts in Khuzestan include damage to temporary structures such as banners and scaffolding, the breaking of old trees, flight delays, and damage to agricultural products and machinery. Residents are advised to avoid parking near old trees or unfinished buildings and to exercise caution while driving.
Additionally, a widespread precipitation system is forecasted to affect multiple provinces, bringing risks of rising river levels, flooding, lightning, and strong winds. Affected areas include provinces such as Mazandaran, Semnan, Golestan, North Khorasan, and parts of Azerbaijan, Tehran, and Kermanshah. Risks include rockfalls in mountainous areas, slippery roads, and damage to crops.
