Weather warnings issued for Hormozgan and Tehran provinces

Meteorological authorities in Iran have issued weather warnings for Hormozgan and Tehran provinces. In Hormozgan, increased southeast wind speeds are expected to cause choppy sea conditions, with winds reaching approximately 40 km/h and wave heights nearing 120 cm. Fishermen and owners of light vessels are advised to avoid sea travel through Friday noon. Additionally, mountainous areas like Bashagard may experience scattered rain, thunderstorms, hail, and sudden gusts.

In Tehran, a yellow alert has been issued due to strong to very strong winds expected from Wednesday afternoon through Saturday. The weather service warns of potential damage to temporary structures such as scaffolding and billboards, as well as reduced visibility due to dust. Temperatures in Tehran are projected to decrease by an average of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius starting Friday night, with potential frost and snow in higher elevations.
