Weather warnings issued for Panama and Sinaloa coasts

Authorities in Panama and Mexico have issued weather advisories for their respective coastal regions. In Panama, Sinaproc warned of increased winds and waves reaching up to 1.5 meters along the Pacific coast through October 4. This weather pattern is linked to a developing Central American Gyre, affecting areas including the Gulf of Panama, the Gulf of Chiriquí, and southern Veraguas and Los Santos.

In Sinaloa, Mexico, the National Meteorological Service forecasts heavy rainfall with accumulations between 50 and 75 millimeters, particularly along the coastal strip. These conditions may lead to rising river levels, landslides, and flooding. Despite the rain, high temperatures are expected, with maximums reaching between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius. Wind gusts of up to 50 km/h and waves of 2 to 3 meters are also anticipated in coastal sectors.
