Wei Chuan Dragons secure best seasonal record and Taipei Dome home advantage

The Wei Chuan Dragons have secured the best overall season record in the CPBL, guaranteeing them a spot in the Taiwan Series and providing them with a five-game home-field advantage in the best-of-seven championship.

The team plans to host Games 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 at the Taipei Dome. This move avoids scheduling conflicts caused by upcoming renovation work at Tianmu Baseball Stadium and offers a significantly higher spectator capacity, potentially accommodating up to 40,000 fans per game.

In a recent matchup, the Dragons defeated the Fubon Guardians 2-1 in a 10-inning game. This victory also helped the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions secure their postseason berth as the second team to qualify. Dragons manager Yeh Chun-chang noted that high-tension games like this are beneficial for preparing the roster for the upcoming championship series.
