Wembley Stadium faces calls to cancel Marilyn Manson 2027 show

Anton Georgiou, leader of the Liberal Democrat Group at Brent Council, has called on Wembley Stadium to cancel Marilyn Manson’s scheduled performance on July 3, 2027. Manson is slated to appear as a support act for Slipknot.

The call for cancellation stems from various sexual assault and psychological abuse allegations made against the musician by several women, including Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco. While Manson has consistently denied all wrongdoing, Georgiou argued that allowing the performance contradicts the council’s efforts to tackle violence against women and girls. He has requested that Wembley Stadium review the booking and explain what considerations were made regarding the allegations.

A spokesperson for Brent Council stated that the venue and event organizers are responsible for bookings and that the council has no direct control over the scheduling. Meanwhile, some fans have expressed intentions to boycott the event following the announcement.
