Wendy's Opens First Mexico City Outlet in a Decade on Paseo de la Reforma

Wendy's is returning to Mexico City after roughly ten years of absence. The fast‑food chain will open its first capital‑city restaurant at Avenida Paseo de la Reforma 250, in the Juárez neighborhood. The outlet, operated by franchisee AJ Group, will feature the new "Future Fresh" format with a modern blue‑dominant design, digital screens and a capacity of about 40 diners. A mural by Mexican artist Patricia Santos adds a local cultural touch. This opening on 4 August marks the start of AJ Group's plan to launch up to 50 Wendy's restaurants across Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Hidalgo and Morelos, expanding the brand's presence in the central region of the country.

The move comes as part of Wendy's broader strategy to accelerate growth in Mexico, a priority market for the company in Latin America, where it aims to add more than 60 new restaurants nationwide in the coming years.
