West Bank land seizure and settlement expansion report

A new report titled ‘Maximum Area, Minimum Population’ by organizations Yesh Din, Bimkom, and HaMoked reveals the expansion of Israeli policies aimed at controlling Palestinian land and reducing available space. While these policies previously focused on small, isolated communities in Area C, they are now reaching deeper into the West Bank.

The report documents several cases of land seizure and restriction, including farmers being denied access to their lands in contact zones. It highlights the case of Adnan Qabha, who was prevented from harvesting his olive trees during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Additionally, the report describes how the community of Al-Rummanah in Area A is being surrounded by pastoral settlement outposts, leading to harassment and movement restrictions. In the town of Sinjil, located in Area B, settlement expansion is reportedly isolating the community from its agricultural lands. The organizations conclude that these actions represent a continuous process of settlement expansion, settler violence, and land seizure designed to push Palestinians into shrinking areas.
