West Herzegovina Canton plans healthcare and laboratory expansions

Officials in West Herzegovina Canton have outlined new steps to develop regional healthcare and expand laboratory capacities. A meeting involving the Ministry of Health, Labor, Family and Social Policy, the Health Insurance Institute, and representatives from four local health centers focused on improving service quality and expanding the operations of the Institute of Public Health of West Herzegovina Canton. Plans include the upcoming official opening of new facilities for the Institute of Public Health.

Additionally, the West Herzegovina Canton Government has approved the distribution of computer equipment donated by UNICEF through the ‘EU4INCLUSION’ project. This equipment, managed by the Ministry of Health, Labor, Family and Social Policy, is intended to enhance the capacity of ministries and institutions to provide statistical and human rights data. One computer will be allocated to the Canton Government and one to each of the eight cantonal ministries.
