WEST. idol group officially concludes activities

The Japanese idol group WEST. officially concluded its activities on September 30, following the announcement of its disbandment earlier this month. The group's dissolution follows the departure of members Ryusei Fujii and Nozomu Kotaki in late August.

During a live appearance on the program ‘DayDay.’, member Junta Nakama expressed his gratitude to fans for 12 years of support and apologized for the recent period of uncertainty and distress caused to the public and industry partners. Nakama stated that the group's memories would “always connect our hearts” and confirmed he would continue his career as a solo entertainer.

In conjunction with the group's end, the ‘WEST. Tamagotchi Project’, which was intended to produce an original Tamagotchi device, has also been terminated. The project's official social media account is scheduled to close on October 1.
