West Java police arrest suspects in motorcycle thefts in Ciamis and Cimahi

In Ciamis, West Java, police detained a suspect identified as Endang Supriatna after he stole a Honda Scoopy belonging to a resident named Acim. The theft occurred on May 17, 2026, resulting in an estimated loss of 18.5 million rupiah. Officers recovered the stolen motorcycle, its original key, BPKB, and STNK from the suspect’s home and prevented the planned sale of the vehicle.

In Cimahi, also in West Java, police captured 13 individuals linked to a broader motorcycle‑theft network operating across Cimahi, West Bandung, and Bandung. The operation resulted in the seizure of nine stolen motorcycles, as well as tools such as astag keys and special scissors used to bypass vehicle locks, and related documents. The suspects face charges under Article 477 of the Indonesian Criminal Code, with potential imprisonment of up to seven years.
