West Java Province Takes Over Cihampelas Terrace, Aims for Oct 2026 Finish

The West Java provincial government (Pemprov Jabar) officially took over management of the Cihampelas Terrace in Bandung from the city administration on 29 July, signing a regional grant agreement and hand‑over protocol. Governor Dedi Mulyadi said the province will now handle both administrative and technical aspects of the redevelopment, targeting completion of all physical work by October 2026.

The project aims to restore the area as a centre for creative industry, fashion and tourism, and is linked to the planned re‑opening of Husein Sastranegara Airport to boost visits from neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. The administration phase is expected to be finished within a month, with transparent public tendering for the construction work.
