West Midlands and West Yorkshire police raids seize weapons and dismantle drug gang
West Midlands Police executed an early‑morning raid on a property in Oldbury after a TikTok video showed a masked individual pointing a gun. Officers recovered a BB gun, a zombie‑style knife and several swords. A 15‑year‑old was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and a 19‑year‑old was detained for possessing an offensive weapon; both remain in custody.
In West Yorkshire, police raided two homes on Leeds' Halton Moor estate, arresting members of a drug operation led by 46‑year‑old Christopher Hargreaves. The raids uncovered large quantities of cocaine and cannabis, cash, jewellery, designer clothing and a stash of weapons including machetes and a Taser. The gang, described as maintaining a "culture of fear" on the estate, has now been sentenced, with Hargreaves receiving eight years' imprisonment.
