West Virginia Mountaineers face TCU defense in upcoming matchup

The West Virginia Mountaineers offense, which ranks as the fourth-best scoring offense and the top rushing offense in the Big 12, is set to face the TCU defense this weekend. Despite a 1-3 conference record, the Mountaineers have consistently produced high yardage, recording 400 or more yards in nearly every conference game.

TCU enters the matchup with what head coach Rich Rodriguez describes as the best defense in the league, statistically leading in most categories. Led by defensive coordinator Andy Avalos, the Horned Frogs defense has not allowed more than 21 points against Power Four opponents this season. TCU's strengths include a top-tier pass defense and a pass rush led by Koron Hayward, who currently leads the Big 12 with 4.5 sacks.
