West Yorkshire Police deploy mobile speed cameras across Bradford and Leeds
The West Yorkshire Police Camera Enforcement Unit, operating on behalf of the West Yorkshire Camera Partnership, has installed mobile speed cameras this week in several known casualty zones across West Yorkshire. The deployments aim to reduce speeding and road accidents by using laser‑based speed measurement at identified high‑risk locations.
In Bradford, cameras are positioned on routes such as Thornton Road, Halifax Road, and Harrogate Road, covering multiple 30 mph and 40 mph sites. Additional sites include locations on A629, A647, and other local roads. In Leeds, cameras are set up on roads including Wakefield Road, Otley Road, A58 Whitehall Road, and several other arterial routes, again targeting 30 mph and 40 mph zones. All locations are current as of the time of writing but may change without notice.
