Western Balkans Youth Ministerial Meeting held in Montenegro

The Western Balkans Youth Ministerial Meeting took place in Podgorica, Montenegro, to discuss strengthening youth cooperation and increasing youth participation in decision-making processes. Organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RYCO) and the Montenegrin Ministry of Sports and Youth as part of Montenegro’s 2026 Berlin Process presidency, the meeting addressed recommendations developed by youth during the Western Balkans Youth Forum in Budva.

Participants emphasized using culture and sports as tools to build trust and connectivity across borders. To mark the 10th anniversary of RYCO, the meeting also advanced the RYCOncile – RYCO Youth Trust Fund, a new mechanism designed to support youth initiatives, regional mobility, inclusion, and trust-building within the region.
