Western Cape police offer R100k rewards for murder information

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is offering cash rewards of up to R100,000 per case to anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of suspects involved in recent shootings in the Western Cape.

The reward follows three separate shooting incidents earlier this month that resulted in 11 deaths. The incidents occurred in Gugulethu, Langa, and Lingelethu West. Specifically, three people were killed in the Barcelona informal settlement in Gugulethu on August 9, five people died in a shooting on Winnie Mandela Street in Langa, and three men were killed in the TR Block area of Lingelethu West on August 8.

SAPS stated that the Provincial Serious Violent Crime Unit has exhausted all available leads and is now appealing to the community for assistance. Information can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stop or the MySAPS App.
