Western Macedonia launches Office of Externship to boost exports and investment
The Regional Governor of Western Macedonia, Georgios Amanatidis, and the Deputy Director of International Economic Relations and Externship at Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dimitris Skalcos, signed a memorandum of cooperation to establish a new Office of Externship in the region. The office, to operate under the Regional Development Agency ANKO and cooperate with Enterprise Greece and Export Credit Greece, will help local businesses connect with European and global markets, provide export information, training, and facilitate investment attraction.
Implementation will be organized by the regional authority, which will handle staffing and training of personnel by the autumn. Officials highlighted that the initiative aims to increase the competitiveness of Western Macedonian enterprises, promote key economic sectors, and create new growth opportunities for the local economy.
