Lommel SK defeats SK Beveren to end long home unbeaten streak

Lommel SK secured a 3-1 away victory against SK Beveren in the Jupiler Pro League, ending Beveren’s impressive home unbeaten streak that had lasted over 500 days.

Don-Angelo Konadu, an Ajax loanee, played a decisive role by scoring two goals. His first came in the 24th minute via a header from a corner, and his second followed shortly after halftime following an assist from Juho Talvitie. Lucas Schoofs added a third goal for Lommel in the 56th minute, capitalizing on another corner.

SK Beveren managed to equalize before halftime through Chris Lokesa, assisted by a backheel from Christian Brüls, but were unable to mount a comeback in the second half. The result allows Lommel to surpass Beveren in the league standings.
