WhatsApp adds group admin control feature and expands Business API for chatbots

WhatsApp is testing a new "bouncer" function that lets group administrators verify users who join via invitation links, giving them tighter control over group membership. The feature, observed in the Android beta and reported by WABetaInfo, is not yet publicly released.

Separately, Meta’s WhatsApp Business API now supports deeper integration with chatbots and CRM systems, enabling businesses to automate responses, route conversations, and track interactions through standardized templates and secure webhooks. The update aims to improve customer‑service efficiency and scalability for enterprises using the platform.
