WhatsApp introduces new group chat and privacy features
WhatsApp has introduced several functional updates and privacy settings to enhance user experience. Meta has implemented an ‘@all’ feature for group chats, allowing users to mention every member of a group simultaneously. This tool is designed to save time in large groups when communicating urgent information such as deadlines or schedule changes, even within muted groups.
Users can also manage privacy through various settings, including the ability to hide online status, profile photos, and read receipts (blue ticks). Additionally, the app allows for message status tracking to see when a message was sent, received, and read, as well as the ability to mute specific group notifications to minimize distractions.
