WhatsApp launches paid “WhatsApp Plus” subscription with exclusive features

Meta has begun showing a pop‑up promotion for a new monthly service called WhatsApp Plus. The plan costs 2,999 pesos per month after a one‑month free trial and renews automatically unless cancelled. Subscribers would receive exclusive stickers, a custom app icon, visual theme options and unique ringtones, along with other personalization tools. The offer is presented under the Meta brand and includes a link to its terms of service and privacy policy. Details on how to cancel the subscription or whether the service will be rolled out nationwide in Colombia are not yet provided.

The promotion appears on some users’ devices as a trial invitation, and the price shown may include additional taxes. Meta has not clarified if WhatsApp Plus will be available in other countries or on different operating systems.
