WhatsApp Plus subscription expands in France with €2.49 monthly fee

Meta has rolled out its new paid tier, WhatsApp Plus, to a broader audience in France. The subscription, priced at €2.49 per month, is now visible in the app’s Settings on both iPhone and Android devices and includes a one‑month free trial that can be cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.

WhatsApp Plus adds premium features such as animated stickers, exclusive colour themes, alternative app icons, up to 20 pinned conversations, custom ringtones and the ability to set alerts per chat list. Pricing varies by region – for example, about 229 rupees in Pakistan and roughly $2.99‑$3.99 in other markets – and the service sits alongside Meta’s other paid offerings like Meta Verified, Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and the upcoming Meta One subscriptions.
