Horizon Gold outlines $1.9bn cash‑flow plan for WA Gum Creek gold mine
Peninsula Energy reported that its Lance uranium project in Wyoming is delivering head grades of 50‑60 mg/L, double historic levels, after a US$56 million funding boost and the use of a low‑pH in‑situ recovery process. The company has shifted focus to Mine Unit 4, maintaining its 2027 production target despite temporary setbacks.
Larvotto Resources began staged commissioning of its Hillgrove antimony‑gold operation in New South Wales, moving ore through crushing and screening circuits. The restart aims to produce around 4,900 tonnes of antimony (about 7 % of global output) and more than 40,000 oz of gold annually over a seven‑year mine life, with potential tungsten by‑products.
Horizon Gold released a definitive feasibility study for the Gum Creek project in Western Australia, projecting A$1.854 billion of pre‑tax free cash flow, an IRR of 53.1 % and a NPV of A$1.307 billion. The mine is expected to produce 98,000 oz of gold per year for the first five years, with total output of 880,000 oz over ten years, and first ore is slated for the second half of 2028.
Flagship Minerals completed the sale of its Reung Kiet lithium project in Thailand for US$4 million, signalling a shift toward gold and copper. The company will focus on the Isidora gold project in Chile, which holds an estimated 2.1 Moz of gold, and is reviewing the Whipsaw copper project in British Columbia, Canada, which contains a large copper‑equivalent resource. A potential sale of its Khao Soon tungsten project in Thailand is also under discussion.
