In Brazil, only about a third of residents feel safe in their cities, prompting many condominium complexes to seek more effective protection methods. Historically, security relied on cameras that recorded incidents for later review. According to Wesley Rosa, director‑general of security firm White Segurança, the approach has evolved: artificial intelligence now analyzes live video feeds to spot suspicious behavior such as prolonged presence in sensitive areas, off‑hour movement, repeated circling of the premises, or unauthorized vehicle activity. When the system detects an anomaly, alerts are sent instantly to a staffed monitoring center where trained operators assess the situation and can intervene in real time, notifying residents, dispatching support teams, and contacting law‑enforcement as needed. Rosa emphasizes that this proactive model aims to prevent incidents before they occur rather than merely documenting them after the fact.
