Who Wants to Be a Millionaire! returns to bTV for 25th anniversary

The television game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire!’ is returning to bTV on September 7 to celebrate its 25th anniversary in Bulgaria. Hosted by Niki Kanchev, the special jubilee season will air every weekday at 18:00.

For the first time in the show's history in Bulgaria, contestants will be allowed to choose between two different formats before the game begins: a ‘classic’ version and a ‘modern’ version. The classic version follows the original rules and structure, featuring the traditional three lifelines—‘50:50’, ‘Phone a Friend’, and ‘Ask the Audience’—and offers a special jubilee prize of 125,000 euros. The modern version provides more strategic options, allowing players to choose three out of four lifelines and determine their own second guaranteed sum.

In addition to the format changes, the new season will feature questions specifically related to the history of the show, including its creator, iconic moments, and significant personalities from its 25-year run in the country.
