Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Vietnam lacks 15-question winner

Since its debut in January 2005, the Vietnamese version of the game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ (Ai Là Triệu Phú) has not seen a contestant successfully answer all 15 questions in the official competition.

In 2008, construction engineer Nguyen Le Anh became the first player to reach the 15th question after correctly answering 14 consecutive questions. Despite having an educated guess regarding the final question about Nam Cao’s work ‘Đời thừa’, he chose to stop and secure 80 million VND. Later, it was revealed his guess would have been correct.

Other notable contestants include travel blogger Tran Dang Dang Khoa, who reached the 15th question in 2021 but answered incorrectly, resulting in a prize of 22 million VND. More recently, in March 2026, Nguyen Truong Giang reached the final question and chose to stop, securing 150 million VND.
