WiCi unveils WiCi One wireless external GPU using Wi-Fi 7
California-based startup WiCi has unveiled the WiCi One, a wireless external GPU (eGPU) designed to provide high-end graphics performance to laptops and tablets via Wi-Fi 7. Unlike traditional eGPUs that require physical Thunderbolt or OCuLink connections, the WiCi One uses a wireless approach to maintain the slim profile of host devices while enabling demanding tasks like 4K gaming and local AI processing.
The device features its own enclosure, cooling system, and power supply. Two primary configurations are planned: a base model equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (16 GB), an Intel Core 3 100U processor, and 1 TB of NVMe storage, and a high-end version featuring an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 (32 GB) with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H and 4 TB of NVMe 5 storage.
WiCi utilizes a virtual driver system that allows the host operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux) to recognize the remote GPU as a local resource. The company claims the RTX 5060 Ti model can run Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K Ultra settings with 80 fps using DLSS 4. The base model is available for pre-order starting at $1,999, with a planned retail price of $2,599. Shipments are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
