Widow's Bay earns 19 Emmy nominations and second season renewal

The Apple TV horror-comedy series ‘Widow’s Bay’ has earned 19 Emmy nominations following its debut season. The show, which centers on a cursed island, has been renewed for a second season.

Production designer Steve Arnold and set decorator Jennifer Engel discussed the visual challenges of filming in Massachusetts. To capture the remote island atmosphere while filming on the mainland, the team built numerous interior sets to balance the show’s blend of comedy and horror.

Cast members, including Matthew Rhys and Dale Dickey, have expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season. Rhys noted that the first season ended on a significant cliffhanger involving the island's folklore, while other actors expressed interest in exploring more character backstories and new situational comedy.
