Widzew Łódź to Open Ekstraklasa Season as Janusz Kulig Virtual Rally Returns

Polish club Widzew Łódź will begin the 2026/27 Ekstraklasa season on 24 July 2026 with a home match against Motor Lublin. After securing survival last season, the team is now listed among possible title contenders, backed by a larger budget and upcoming transfers.

The Master of Champions Cup virtual rally series is set to stage its fifth round, reviving the 1997 Janusz Kulig Rally. The competition uses the Richard Burns Rally simulator across 16 asphalt stages totaling over 105 km. Current leader Jurek Bogdanowicz and challenger Damian Skupień vie for the prize of a professional co‑driver seat with 2025 European rally champion Miko Marczyk.
