Wieczysta Kraków releases nine players after promotion to Ekstraklasa

Polish football club Wieczysta Kraków announced on 12 June that nine players will leave the squad as the team prepares for its debut in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa. The departing players are Carlitos, Jacek Góralski, Daniel Mikołajewski, Joan Roman, Tomasz Swędrowski, Michał Trąbka, and three loanees – Natan Dzięgielewski, Elias Olsson and Kamil Soberka. Contracts for the first six expire on 30 June, while the loan deals end with the players returning to their parent clubs. The club, owned by Wojciech Kwiecień, said the roster changes are part of a “radical” overhaul required to compete at the top level and that new signings will be sought shortly.

The move follows Wieśuta’s recent ascent from the lower divisions to Poland’s top flight, a milestone described by club officials as the culmination of an ambitious project. By clearing space in the squad, the management aims to strengthen the team for the challenges of the Ekstraklasa season 2025/26.
